MY RELOCATION STORY

Source: Google Image

Staying alone in a big city like Bangalore was not that easy.  Every time I met with strange aloofness in my home and I missed my parents so much. About three months ago I heard my dad’s transfer news. I was so happy to hear that news. I decided to look for a new house as I was living in a small house of only one room. I asked my friend to help me find a new house. And she booked a 3bhk flat under my name in between mine and dad’s office road. I thanked her for solving one of my greatest problems, because it’s not easy to find a flat in Bangalore within such less time.

I moved to the new flat about two months ago. I liked the new flat and the view across the window. I unpacked my luggage and started to decorate the house. But some of my furniture didn’t match with the color and interior of my flat, which made me sad. Some of my furniture was also too old and I didn’t want to place them in my new flat. I had my savings, but I still needed more to buy new furniture and I was afraid to apply for a personal loan.

The next morning I was sharing my problems with my friend, who helped me in booking the flat. She suggested me to sell some of my old furniture and buy some with according to my interior’s suitability. She also introduced me to Quikr. She also revealed that she booked the flat with the help of Quikr Bangalore. She explained me that Quikr is an amazing and secure platform for both seller and buyer; it’s a place where a seller can meet a buyer directly.

I obeyed her advice and instantly started collecting information about Quikr. I felt amazing to know that if I upload some pictures of my old furniture from different angles and give some information about the product, then I can directly meet with the buyer.

I held my phone; first downloaded its app and then started to click some snaps of my wardrobe, dining table, study table, refrigerator and more importantly my bed. I had not changed my bed for five years.

In a few days I started to receive phone calls from the buyers, who were interested in my uploaded pictures. At first I was amazed about the amount of phone calls I received. I did my best and sold my wardrobe, refrigerator and study table within a week.

After some days I fixed a deal on my dining table and the next day it also got sold to a buyer. I bought some new furniture from that money. I was relieved to avoid another personal loan.  My parents joined me one month before and they were impressed with my decorating sense. They asked me how did I manage so many things and my only answer was ‘it’s all thanks to Quikr Bangalore’.

THE ETERNAL WAIT

Source: Google Image

22nd April

It’s been 48 days since you left me alone in our home. If it was not for that dreadful accident happened 48 days ago, we will be celebrating my birthday together. That accident leaded you to coma. My world fell apart after hearing that news.

Every day I pray to GOD for your health improvement. When will God hear my words?

Waiting for you...
*****

3rd June

It’s been 90 days already. I really miss you. Hope is the only thing that keeps me here with you. Now also I’m staring at your motionless body.  My mama is staying with me at home. You know our prince has won first prize in essay writing. He also misses you and keep asking about you.

When will you wake up, dear? Aren’t you tired lying in there for so many days?

Waiting for you...
*****

14th July

Happy anniversary, dear. It’s our eighth anniversary. I have worn that blue saree, which you had given me on our previous anniversary. You’ve always complemented me on blue saree, so now wake up quickly and say some good words or at least say something to me.

It’s been 130 days since I last heard your voice. Now doctors are also losing hope, but I won’t. Now please wake up. You are taking too much time. When will I hear your voice again?

Still waiting for you...
*****

19th August

It’s a special day for me. Today you gain your consciousness after 165 days. I was on cloud nine already. I saw you looking at me and a smile formed on my face. The doctor told me that your nervous system is, too weak and your legs are paralyzed. I know it will get well soon.

But something worried me when will we go back to our home?

Now waiting for the answer...

*****

11th September

Today you discharged from hospital. You entered our home after 187 long days in a wheel chair. You know all these while I was counting the days when you will return home. I contemplated silence and agony was my friend during your absence. In your absence I wasn’t feeling any ease at home. Now you are here with me and what do I need more?

It felt good to be back home.

FOE BECAME A FRIEND

Source: Google Image

We had always fought during our school days; whether that is for first bench or first position or class president. We never know why we hated each other so much. I remember he never left any opportunity to humiliate me in front of others.

He was so energetic and cool, everyone thought that except me of course. He had hundreds of fans in our school. At that time he was a singer also. He won several prizes; he even represented our school in state level and national level competition. Every year he owned the all-rounder prize. I didn’t know why I felt jealous to him that time. This jealousy inspired me to compete against him.

After completion of our 12th we changed our paths. I became a doctor and it’s been eight years I saw him last. But about seven months before when I was switching channels on my TV using the remote, I saw him in a reality show. He came to give his music audition. And I knew that he got selected for mega audition. After that I started to watch that reality show regularly. He crossed so many stages and made it to the finale.

On the finale eve, he dedicated his song to his entire friends specially me. I was too shocked to hear my name. He mentioned me as his special friend. He said I was his strength in every field. I never realized when and why a foe became a friend. It’s hard to admit, but he was really good in singing, though he didn’t win the title that night but he won my friendship and trust.

Now we are in contact and close friends. I want to admit something he was brilliant in school and most of the time I lost from him.

The tea seller

Source: Google Image

“Excuse me, Two cups of tea please?” A man shouted from the corner seat of the train. “Ah... Yes” he poured two cups, handed it to the man and collected a twenty rupee note.  A satisfaction formed on his face.

He had been selling tea for fifteen years and from that he was sustaining his household expenses along with his daughter’s academy expenses.

Every morning he left his house at 4 am; moved from train to train to sell tea and returned to his home at 10 pm.

“This is the life of a tea seller.” He thought to himself.

I'm what I choose to become

Dear mama,

I have always followed your instructions. You have told me to behave properly in front of others. You have told me to dress properly; though I can wear jeans, but I’m not allowed to wear sleeveless tops and dresses. You have taught me to never talk with a guy outside of the house, though I’m allowed to invite him into my home and talk with him in front of all. I’m grateful that you have also supported me for reading novels and blogging. Remember mama, I was crazy about hip-hop (a dance form) during my school days. But you didn’t approve of that instead you advised me to focus on classical dance.

I have never put on any make up though I want to put some kajal and mascara because you told me to avoid that. You also didn’t let me get a tattoo on my arm. You said that it won’t look good on me. I never force you to buy me something because you taught me not to do it.

I have always listened to your 'dos' and 'don’ts'. My friends often tell me that I’m a good girl, every mother wants her daughter to be like me. You are my first teacher. I’m not complaining because some things I really like to do and I also feel proud that you have taught me great things.

But I have some unfulfilled desires, which I want to complete. Sometimes I feel like I’m pretending to be a good girl. I want to be myself because I’m what I choose to become. And I know you will co-operate me. Thanks for your lovely scolding and great teaching.

Your loving daughter

GET...SET...BOLT

Photo of me in the BMC mall, Bhubaneswar

Tata motors previously presented Zest sedan, which performed in the market successfully with positive feedbacks. Now it’s Bolt, which has a trendy look, complementing the youthful and energetic image. The Bolt has a unique attitude along with a competitive spirit with a Tata motor tag.

Tata motors had set up the Bolt Arena in different cities to directly interact with customers. The customers can know every feature about the new sporty car from Tata motors. I had visited yesterday the arena in BMC mall Bhubaneswar. The arena is staying in Bhubaneswar for 3rd and 4th January.

The amazing features of Bolt that made me fall for it-:

The hatchback is attractive for those, who are passionate about driving. It has three modes of driving, which is the first time ever in history. Sport mode; for those, who love to burst energy and power. Eco mode; for those, who love to maintain excellent fuel efficiency. City mode; for those, who want a perfect balance between power and fuel consumption, with different fuel pick-up points along the way. Moreover, Bolt is definitely going to be noticeable for its drive modes.

The Bolt comes in both petrol and diesel form. The petrol engine is going to play a vital role for the Bolt. It has Revotron 1.2T turbocharged MPFi petrol engine, which can give you a powerful, winning and lively driving experience. It is also comfortable for long drive experience.  The Revotron 1.2T petrol engine offers a maximum power of 90 PS @ 5000 RPM and the Quadrajet 1.3L diesel engine offers a maximum power of 75 PS @ 4000 RPM.

The interior is amazing, with classy looks giving comfortable space. The Bolt has an all-black interior with a fresh new theme to keep the customers happy. Passengers will find it comfortable to be seated in the rear, due too enough space and firm seat.

Source
Bolt provides a telemetry system that allows mirroring of the maps from the smart phone and then on the screen. Apart from the connectivity it has an access to an array of entertainment and advanced voice recognition system. The Touchscreen Information developed by Harman Electronics is also an important reason to enjoy the journey.

The most important feature is Generation next safety. It has advanced safety features to stay in control at all the times.

Source
Apart from that Bolt has Bluetooth, video playback, navigation and music player to append fun in your journey. The Bolt still hasn’t revealed its price. I love these above features, so I want to buy it.

You can check its exterior and interior

I would say Bolt is an ideal buy for Indian family. It is also a best buy for young Indian due to its youthful spirit.

It's now on my wishlist

A NEW YEAR STORY...

When everybody was celebrating the 1st January, she was weeping her heart out holding the jeans of her son, which he wore last time before leaving his house.

On 31st December, her son started his journey for Mumbai. Though she was against it, but he convinced her by saying, it was an urgent call for him from headquarters. She got a call at 10 pm from hospital and rushed towards there only to find the lifeless body of her son. He was not dead, he was in coma.

Wiping her eyes, she said, “Happy new year, my dear son.”

THE REUNION: part 2 (Love Diaries #2)

Image from Google

To read the first part [part 1]

Dear Diary,

I felt guilty for rudely behaving with him. Ohh... My heart isn’t at ease because today my whole day went pretty bad. Yesterday I was so excited to meet him, but after seeing him now that excitement vanishes. I looked again his Facebook pictures and his pictures are so captivating. Then why he has kept a stubble face. He looked like a homeless guy and also a little older than his actual age.

I’m disappointed, maybe I was hoping too much. I never realized his flirty messages in Facebook were nothing serious. But still I’m concerned about his interview. Did he perform well? Did he follow my instructions and shaved? I know I have to call him to know the interview result and to say him sorry also for my behavior.

See you soon

She closed her diary. Her phone beeped, a message came. So she moved to look for her phone. The clock showed her 9 pm. She thought to herself,‘The results must be out by now.’

The message was sent from him and it said,  ‘Come to your garden, I’m waiting.’ She grabbed her jacket and hurried towards her garden.

There she saw a clean shaven man standing with smiling look. “You look different.” She complimented him. He said, “Hmm... I have to, since it was your command.”

“Did you perform well in the interview? What about the result? Did you get selected?” A shade of curiosity formed on her face. “Yes, I got that job.” He said, folding his arms across his chest.

“See I told you naa... You couldn’t have gotten that job with your stubble look.”  She raised her hand confidently.

“But you know, I shaved before coming here and I got that job with my stubble look. I know my looks weren’t formal for the interview, but I have taken my luck with me. That’s why I told you to meet me before the interview. Because You are my lucky charm...” He met his gaze with her to read her expression.

“I don’t understand clearly what are you saying...” She was cut in the mid sentence.

“Stupid!!! I’m saying that I’m madly in love with you. This is the straight answer. And I know you also feel the same for me. So I shaved before coming here because you told me to.” He intertwined his hand with hers.

A jolly smile formed on her face and she pulled him into a hug.

********

They sat in her garden bench. “By the way how did you get the job? Your interviewer didn’t tell you anything? You know most of the rejection is due to stubble look.” She wasn’t convinced about his interview result.

He laughed a little and said, “Yes, the interviewer did ask me why I haven’t shaven? You know I have submitted my resume with a clean shaven face. So I answered, pointing to myself that I can assure you sir that I’m much better than the me in the photo. And as I told you my luck also worked. So I got selected.”

“Then I’m really your lucky charm na...” she asked playfully.

They both laughed.

THE REUNION: Part 1 (Love Diaries #2)

Image from Google

Dear Diary,

I have some good news to share with you. My best friend or recent crush is coming tomorrow to meet me. He is my best friend from kinder garden. I still remember at our first meeting we fought for the first bench. We never realized when our fights turned to friendship and we became close friends. Everything was picture perfect until his father’s transfer news broke on us. He moved with his family, at that time we were only fourteen. After his departure, I started to realize his importance in my heart. I never noticed when my feelings changed for him.

Finally, he is coming tomorrow after seven years. Some days ago a message popped on my window screen on Facebook from him. In that message he said that he has an interview to attain, and he wants to meet me also. If he could see that, I’m on cloud nine right now.

I have selected my black dress for tomorrow. Black is his favorite color. At first I want to know if he has the same feelings for me as I have for him. After that I will confess  my feelings....

See you soon

She closed her diary and went to bed.

The next morning she went to the airport to meet him. After fifteen minutes of more waiting she heard someone called her name. She turned to see a bearded man waving at her. She took some minutes to recognize him. She snapped him, “What’s with this stubble look? Are you serious? Will you give your interview in this look?” His smile vanished. A sudden thought came to her mind and made her sad. ‘He didn’t try to impress me? It means he sees me nothing more than a friend and I tried so hard to impress him.’ She thought to herself.

“Why are you staring at me? Go and shave. At least try to impress your interviewer. With this look you won’t get the job.” She said furiously and left that place.

‘He was there with that unkempt appearance. I don’t know whether I did right or wrong by leaving that place. But one thing I’m sure that I hate his new look.’, she thought to herself.

To be continued....

THE POWER OF TRUTH

Image from Google

Recently I came across this advertisement, which shows the truth brings mental peace to human beings. I also had a similar experience, which I’m going to share with all.

I was always crazy about dance during my schooling days. But my parents gave me the permission to learn only ‘Odissi’ dance. Frankly, I was okay with it, but I needed more. I always wanted to learn different dance styles. I wasn't allowed to perform on stage except 'Odissi'. So I was somehow desperate to perform different dance styles except 'Odissi'.

In my 9th grade my school organized inter school dance competition. My heart mounted over my mind so I decided to participate in that. I went to give my audition; my first mistake was I didn't ask my parent about this as I was too confident that they will deny it, my second mistake was I forged the signature of my papa in application. I performed and got selected for the next round. But I couldn't find the satisfaction.

The days passed by and the final competition night came. I told my parents that I was going to my best friend’s home and left for school. I wasn’t feeling well thinking about the lie I told to my parents. The anchor announced my name and I took my position in the center of the stage. The music started and I moved my body rhythmically with the music. My eyes moved among the crowd and suddenly I felt my gaze met with my father’s and I started to shiver. The next moment I saw my father wasn’t there. My heart wasn’t at ease.

When my performance completed I packed my bag pack and left the school. I marched towards my home. I knocked the door and my mama opened it. I found my papa reading newspaper sitting in leaving the room. He folded the newspaper and placed it beside him.

“What happened? Your study completed this early?” He asked.

“Um... Papa, mama... I want to confess something.” I tried to keep eye contact but failed. I explained all the things. “I’m so sorry. I can assure you this will never happen again. You can give me any kind of punishment.” I was reflecting upon my actions and truly seeking for their forgiveness. Papa got up from the sofa and moved towards me. For a moment I thought that he was going to slap me. But instead he patted me and asked, “If you wanted to participate, then you should have told me. In the first place you lied, but now what have changed your mind?”

“Papa ever since I lied to you, my heart wasn’t at ease. So I wanted to tell the truth.” Tears found their way out.

“I’m glad you realized your mistake and what about your result? Did you get any prize?” With that he gave me a smile.

“Actually papa I didn’t wait for the result.” I gave him a sad smile.

“Then let’s go. I will also go with you.”

Image from Google

From that day onward I never lied to my parents. I always seek permission before going anywhere and he gives me also. I also realized one thing ‘The truth is a beautiful thing; at first it will piss you off, but the next it will set you free.’

PESHAWAR ATTACK

My heart stopped beating imaging the horrible incident
Stunned into eternal muteness
By the sudden attack,
Which took the lives of hundred innocents

The kids were pure and innocent
‘Why’ seems a pointless question
I never expected the perpetrators will be such ill minded,
Omitting the precious lives as well as hopes and aspirations

No amount of solidarity will bring back their life
Who will erase the cry and agony of their parents
But we all are united to proclaim that,
We are there for them in the darkest moment.
