LETTERS TO PAST (#6)

 ~~~~~~ Meeting and Parting are two basic elements of life; I'm glad that I met you guys... ~~~~~
Dear GI Team,
I’ve always considered the team as my family and we had shared a lot of memories. You guys are part of my sweet and sour journey in GI.  Let me start with how I got this GI. During my struggle days (to search for more work), I went to my manager and asked for more applications. But, he asked for my technologies and upon hearing that I know both JAVA and Mainframe a devilish smirk appeared on his face. And within a week, I got to know that I’ll be working in GI.
GI was a male dominated area in those times and I got my KT in two days for one hour on each day. I also got a chance to meet the most talented person in our project. My struggle started in the initial days, as I was working on the most complicated applications and in a technology, I knew nothing about.  Whenever I had any doubt, I used to go to D Bhai, as he made me understand the thing better. With each passing time, people came and leave GI. I found myself to fit comfortably until one day; I heard I’ll be moving out from GI.
 Nothing is constant; things are bound to change. That happened with me as well. I’ll miss you guys and I also know you won’t miss me that much. J But trust me I had always treasured GI team.
Let’s come to my team mates; D Bhai, the most humble and sensitive person in our team. He earned my respect during my initial days in GI.  I learned a new technique from him; how to eat naan using spoon and fork. Sometimes my main concern was how to handle his mood swings. Jhia; I had developed a soft corner for her from the beginning.  She is a chirpy little girl; who can make me laugh at her stupidity and cry during her emotional breakdown.  Rups; learned a lot during my mentorship days. You’ve a bright future ahead, now you need to be serious as the burden of GI is also with you. You’ll be handling both GI and Jhia (hahaha).
I truly love you guys; will miss our own party time to gossip hours, little PJs, ice cream times, the evening walk along with coffee, our first drink at Malva, the epic chai at Jugad and many more. I’ll be keeping those golden memories in my heart.
Some things are bound to change and this is one of them. This is not our separation; rather we’re moving with according to our destiny. I’ll wish everyone’s good luck. Please forgive me if I’ve hurt you at any how; nothing was intentional.
From,
Your ex-team mate in GI, who'll .give and take farewells from you guys... :D
A letter to Granny
Pic courtesy: Here
Grandparents are the root of every family. They hold the family together in a single thread. I've not seen my grant parents at all. But, I've always imagined things related to them by hearing many stories from my papa. They left my papa, when he was in high school. The last days of my granny was quite painful for her as she was suffering from paralysis. If they were present, how much pampered would I've become. I had written a letter many years ago for my granny. I want to share it today for the #LoveJatao contest.
Dear Granny,
Happy grandparents day. Big thanks to you for taking care of my papa. I heard you loved to cook traditional dishes. Your dishes were quite famous in whole village. If you were here, then we could’ve been making traditional with western fusion dishes. I heard from many that I’m a replica of you. We’ve the same smile apart from the dimples and same complexion. But, do I look like you?
If you were here with us, then my bed time could’ve been the story time. I would’ve waited for your stories before a good night sleep. I would’ve been getting hot oil massage for my hair from you. You would’ve been telling me the childhood memories of papa. I also heard you were a movie freak at that time and a great fan of Dillip Kumar; we would’ve been watching his movies together.
You had missed seeing my birth, my first word, my first walk, my first day in school, my first award, my first day in college, my board results, my graduation day, my first campus choice, my first salary and many more things.
I’ve heard from my friends that their grandparents are pampering them to high extend. I feel jealous of them. Why did you’ve to leave early from this world, I’ve this one grudge against you. We could’ve spent some valuable time together. We could’ve clicked some selfies together. I could’ve introduced you to all my friends. I miss you a lot. And, I want to tell you that you’re the most beautiful woman in our family.
Yours Granddaughter,
Who misses you every day.
Happy Grandparents day to all of you. Hope this day you’ll spend some valuable time with your grandparents; going back to the memory lane or chit chatting for hours or watching movies together or making their favorite dishes. I wish, I could do it all.
I look forward to hear from you how would you celebrate Grandparents Day. Do share a selfie with your grandparents on Sept. 10, 2017 on Twitter or Facebook with #LoveJatao & tag @blogadda to win a goodie from Parachute Advansed.
LETTERS TO PAST (#5)
Dear B Bhai,
I hope things are going good for you. You've already found the right path towards your career. I'm really sorry for being late to write this letter. But, no more complains as I wrote it already in my diary.
Well, my first impression of you was quite normal. I thought, you're a person with normal lifestyle and you don't talk much with people apart from your friend circle. That impression changed when I moved near your cubicle and became your cube-mate. I really admire your jolly personality and appreciate your patience, which you had after going through such a difficult phase.
I'll really miss our fun-fights, your lollipop acting and your all mimicries. When you'll return to us as a manager, please don't forget to shower us good ratings. :P We'll definitely bribe you chicken lollipop. Lastly, our team will miss you and hope to see you on your marriage. :P
From,
your cube-mate, who'll bribe you chicken lollipop in future. :P
LETTERS TO PAST (#4)
"Once app-mates, will become strangers with some memories... "
Dear AP,
I wish you luck for your future. May GOD shower you all the happiness you deserve and may you taste the flavor of success in your career line. I always wanted to write a letter for you. Now, I got a chance. Don’t worry this is not a complain letter.
My first impression of you was not so high, I smiled at you and you simply ignored me... Yes, and after that I thought you’re full of attitudes. That impression vanished slowly in our first team party. I’ve always said this that you’re efficient in your work but little lack in social skills. So as usual I made the effort for building our friendship. Here, we’re good friends now (I guess!!!)
You inspired me to go in the path of my dreams and take risks. But, I’m not as courageous as you. I know, it’ll take some time for me to be a rebel. I wanted to say you this from last three months. ‘Lucky are those people, who follow their passion. So you’re lucky’ People always leave some imprint on my mind, you've also left some.
You’re one of my favorite mentors and you’ll be. Our team will miss you for sure. Please stay in contact and don’t keep grudges for any of my activities. (:P)
Lastly, study well and Farewell my moody friend...
From,
An app-mate, who will become stranger...
A LETTER FOR DEMANDING PROMISES
~~ Source ~~
Dear Husband,
Are you wondering now, why I’m writing this letter to you? It’s my letter for demanding promises. Let’s go back to the memory lane and recall the moment when we first meet. During our training time when I was giving my introduction, you were the one who laughed at me. The initial cold wars between us make me laugh now. Eventually those fights turned into understanding each other and then that magic happened.
There comes some time in life where. Despite all that you do, you became greedy, demanding more attention from your dear one. Yes, I’m talking about promises. Promise is one of the key elements that have bound us together till now. Remember, on our first anniversary I promised you three things, now it’s your turn.  But, in return I want four promises from you as our third anniversary is approaching faster.
First; I need you to promise me to spend some quality time together. It’s not your fault that workload is keeping us apart. Now a day I feel like work is your primary focus and I’m your secondary. We both working in the same building yet we barely meet each other. So, I demand at least one hour per day from your busy schedule.
Second; I need you to promise me for showing some tolerance in my shopping time. You’ve accepted me after knowing that I’m a shopaholic person. These days whenever I’m asking you to accompany me for shopping, you’re avoiding me. If I can show my patience while you watch cricket match, then I demand your constancy over my shopping hours.
Third; I demand you to promise me for showing respect to all my decisions. I’m not complaining. You always ask my opinions and ideas. But whenever I take a decision, you start with how and whys. I require you to have faith in my decision. You’re open to share your view but, don’t be judgmental.  Not every decision of mine will go wrong.
Fourth and the last one; I order you to promise me that you’ll stay with me for eternity. Though I never have doubt on you. You’ve tolerated my possessiveness also without complaining. My letter may sound bitter to you, but you know we demand more, just because we love the person more. Now you’ll ask all these things I can say you directly, what is the need of writing? Well, the first time you confessed me by writing a letter. So I reciprocate you.
From,
Yours lovingly wife
A GIFT TO SELF
Dear Me,
Happy birthday. I’m happy to have you as my companion. You have seen different shades of me and none other than you know my darkest secrets. You have acknowledged the real me. So this birthday I have decided to give you a gift from my heart.
  • Don’t you realize you’re unique, though you always try hard to be different?
  • Don’t you grasp the fact that you have a set of fans and followers? You cherish them as much as they love you.
  • Don’t you always wonder ‘how I’m looking?’ But dear, your confidence and personality doesn’t rely on your beauty. You are one of the prettiest girl by heart.
  • Don’t ever think that you’re leading an aimless life because you are the sole believer of ‘everything happens for a reason.’
  • Don’t be insecure as I’m always with you in your ups and downs.
You have strived every day to be a better person than yesterday, to always show kindness. I appreciate that. You know how to smile in your toughest situations, not to reveal your real emotions in front of others. I salute that. You feel excited over small things and sometimes talk like a kid. I adore that. You cry like a baby and sometimes seek little attention. I laugh at that. You always get ready to click some selfies and love to spend time in front of mirror. I admire that.
Remember one thing no matter what, I love you always.
From,                                                                                                                                                             your companion in solitude
LETTERS TO PAST(#3)
"People don't always need advice or time... Sometimes they need emotional support, understanding friends..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Dear ‘L’,

I can see things are fine with you. You are always surrounded with work and your friend circle. Do you ever wonder what impacts you have in my life? Let me tell you with a story. Once upon a time there lived a girl, lost in her own world and she doesn’t invite everyone to her world. Gaining her trust was the toughest job for anyone who wanted to befriend her. One day her fairy GOD father arrived and turned her world into a beautiful place. She started to increase her friend circle and lived a happy life. Her God father arranged a grant party, they enjoyed and suddenly everything vanished including her fairy GOD father. She realized that all the things were temporary. She sobbed for some days and lastly accepted the fact. She was hurt not because her beautiful world vanished but because she lost her dear friend, her fairy GOD father. She tried to get back to her dear friend like previous times but her every try turned futile. And finally she accepted that ‘things have gone changed’.

Did you relate anything from the story? I think yes, because you are not an idiot as you seems. Don’t worry I have accepted the fact which you convinced me that you don’t have time. There were times in which you were my emotional backbone but with time I can see the emotional link breaking. I tried to explain this to you many times but you are ‘YOU’, never get the hint. I see your friend circle is amazing, hope that will last lifelong. I have uttered so many complains of mine, let’s go back to our good times. I’m not saying that this is a bad time, but let’s moves back a little.

You are a nice person and may be the gentlest person I have ever met. You never pretend anything and never tried to be a fake person in front of me. You also know how to lighten my mood. Our friendship got stronger because you understood me. It was my first time that somebody understood me! I remember how you loved to pull my legs throwing pranks and pathetic jokes. You liked my handbag na? Don’t worry I’ll gift you one in your coming birthday. (Joking)

Well I learned so many things from you. First “never trust a stranger immediately. S/he may back-stab you.” Second “If someone is not showing interest to be with you. Don’t hook to that person.”  May be my letter is sounding a little biter to you, but it’s my point of view and emotions don’t you dare to judge me… And we complain more because we like the person more. Got it? I’m not holding any grudge against you. You are my dearest friend and you always will be. :) I hope you have a bright future ahead of you. Whatever your dream is, just go for it. Don’t forget to call me to your marriage. I mayn’t attend it but please invite me.

From,
A friend who become a stranger

LETTERS TO PAST(#2)

“People think we had a love-hate relation.
 Well, I didn’t love him, nor did I hate him. We had mutual respect for each other,
Even as we both planned each other’s murder.”

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Source: Google Image
Dear ‘S’,
I’m not going to ask you “How are you”, because I know you are living in peace without me around. How is your work going on? Did you make any new friends? One thing I know for sure that nobody is going to take my place in your life. Did I startle you by saying this? Yes, you can taunt me now. I have a big heart and I will forgive you.
I remember out first meeting. My friend introduced me to you and we talked about our favorite singer “KK”. That day I thought you and I are a lot alike, but you proved me wrong within a month. I don’t understand, when was the first time I upset you? Is it then when you asked me to change my seat and you wanted me seat beside you, but I refused or when you taunted me for the first time very badly and I snapped back or when you started to force your commands on me like “complete your food”, “don’t waste things” and I didn’t listen. Now you must be thinking “when did I do all these things? Now you are exaggerating.” I’m assuring you that you did all this things, but I have a big heart. So I forgave you every time. Whatever the reason, I have finally stopped thinking about that.
Our “foe cum friend” relation has taught me a lot like how to handle criticism, how to take stand for my own shake and how to handle a situation. I never realize when hate towards you turned into concern. Yes, I hated you for a while. That’s the only thing I lied to you. I had never seen such a complicated personality, until I meet you. Decoding you and your thoughts were the toughest part for me than writing complex codes. Another question, I wonder always why you thought of me as your biggest competitor. I laugh out loud thinking about our quarrels over silly things. I loved to tease you saying ‘No’ to your every questions, requests and commands. In the end I realized that I’m habituated to our silly fights. After our separation I started to miss them or I can say I miss you.
I’m yet to understand what you were trying to say on our last meeting. You were asking for my forgiveness, but why? I also did some mistakes, so we both were equal. This thing left unsolved. Now I will say this once, “Sorry” and don’t make me repeat it again. You know, I’m not going to say it again. You asked me, “Is there any scope of me to meet you in future?” I’m going to answer that now. Yes, we will meet but be prepare for our next meet because I’m carrying a gun now (joking).
Finally I want to say that don’t try so hard to please people around. And don’t always expect that things will go on your accord.
From,
Your dearest foe/friend
LETTERS TO PAST(#1)
"We don't meet people by accident, we cross their path for a reason"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Source: Google Images

Dear M,

How are you? How is life going on with you? It's been a while since I talked with you. I wonder do you miss me? You are that one person who tries to see through me. I will cherish our every moment that we spent during our training period.

You are the one who taught me how to be mischievous, how to live my life openly, how to control my emotions and how to laugh at my own stupidity. You know, I have wished umpteenth times that if you were my sister and we would be spending time together. I loved it when in our presentation section you told about my blog. I saw the excitement in your eyes, did you notice eagerness in me? Did you notice the shock, when you told me that you have drank alcohol and smoked several times?  At first I thought we are the two opposite sides of a coin, but with due time my mindset changed. I was very sad, when you cried your heart out holding me.  In the initial time of our departure I started to miss you. I got emotionally attached with you, but now I’m a big person. I have composed myself and got habituated to the emptiness. I have kept you in one corner of my precious memory. When I thought to write letters, you were the second person that came to my mind. Now you must be wondering who the first person is? Well, it’s a secret. I will tell you and only you when we will meet next time.

Don’t forget to invite me in your marriage. Finally wishing you a bright future and waiting for your reply.

From,

A LETTER TO MAMA

Hold me tight and smile bright mama.
Love you...

Dear mama,

Happy mother’s day. GOD showers you with lots of happiness and blessings. Hope your life in Bhubaneswar would be fine. I miss you mama. This year, I thought instead of gifts I’ll write a letter to you.

I wonder, do you ever wish to know what kind of mother you are in my life? I simply say ‘Mama, you are the coolest.’ You have wiped my running nose, massaged me with oil and mopped my pop. I have heard so many stories from my childhood like I always cry at night. I loved to pull your hair and you shouted with agony. I heard from granny that I was calling you by your name instead of mama.  We always shared a special relationship; you have guided me, disciplined me, loved me, protected me, supported me, taught me and helped me in taking the right decision. You have stood by my side in my every decision. Till now you never spoke rudely with me.

Do you remember mama, once I participated in the inter dance competition without informing you. That evening I left my home lying to you that I’m going to my friend’s house. But, guilt evolved me and after my performance I returned home to tell you the truth. I was scared to death that you’ll punish me after knowing it, but you didn’t. Instead, you looked at me for several minutes, patted my shoulder to console me and I learned a great lesson from you.

 Once I lose a bet from my friends and I had to give them treats. I thought you won’t give me money, so I stole from papa’s wallet. Later you caught my crime, but I saw tears in your eyes. I realized my mistake. I learned to be honest. You taught me that honesty lies in simplicity. You always forgive me for my mistakes. I’m a better person because of you.

You are my source of inspiration. You always try to show me your smiley face, but I know you are growing gray hairs and I can see your wrinkles also. Sometimes you are tired, but you don’t give anyone a hint of it. I always wonder how you manage both teaching and household work. I’m yet to learn that.

Your every lesson has embarked my thoughts and engraved in my soul. My love for you is so big that words will fail me to express it. Still I’ll say, I love you mama. And I know you’ll say, ‘love you too, beta’.

From,
Yours princess.

I am writing a letter about how a mother teaches honesty to her child with the Max Life Insurance i-genius #YoursHonestly activity in association with BlogAdda.

SOME MEMORIES TO CHERISH

I got an outstanding gift from GOD. That's you, mama.

I feel proud when relatives compare me with you. Some say I’m understanding, mature like you and some say I look alike you. You made me understand how to follow my heart rather than my mind. Now if people are praising me, it’s because of your guidance.

I love your voice, when you sing old songs during rainy days. I know you love to scribble in your diary, but never dare to show it. You remember mama, one day I read some of your poems and stories and you didn’t talk with me for a whole day. I remember our dance, holding hands during the power cut times.  I love our long gossip sessions. You manage both your work and household works. You never saw your tiredness in front of me and always put on a smile on your face. You hate to admit that you’re becoming fat. I always taunt you about your fatness yet you look like a doll to me.

 Do you remember mama, once I participated in the inter dance competition without informing you. I was scared to death that you’ll punish me after knowing it, but you didn’t. Instead, you patted my shoulder and I learned a great lesson from you. I learned to be honest. And when I stole money from papa’s wallet, you made me understand my mistake.

You are my source of inspiration. You always advise me to follow my heart, accept the things and whatever happens that has a good reason. When I cried for my face full of pimples, you made me understand that beauty lies in the heart not in the face. According to me, you are an expert. Your every lesson has embarked my thoughts and engraved in my soul.

My love for you is so big that words will fail me to express it. I remember the last words of my Aai(maternal grandmother), “Liku, take care of your mama and love her for eternity. Will you?” That day I realized all mothers expected a little attention and care from their daughters. I’ll come to you when my training will be over. Till then keep smiling and keep nagging me over the phone.

From,
Yours princess.

THE UNSENT LETTERS

Source: Google Image

Dear mama,
Today I once again asked papa about you, but as usual papa changed the topic. I didn’t cry today as I’m your brave princess... Every time I ask about you he gets furious and hurriedly leaves the house for some time. Sometimes I feel like he is trying to run away from me.
You know my every friend are bringing delicious Tiffin, they are also giving credit to their mama. But I don’t mind taking always bread and butter. I just need you by my side to hold me if I’ll sick and pick me if I fall.

I miss you at the parents-teacher meeting, where all my friends come with their parents. I want to show you my grade sheet. I got 1st position in my seventh grade. Recently I heard some of my classmates talked about you, they said that you are not in the world anymore, that you are dead... I got angry and beat a few of them. Later that day principle called papa and I saw the disappointment in his eyes. I had embarrassed papa. On our way out he didn’t utter a word even though I begged for forgiveness and explained the whole situation.

It’s been three long years you went for your trip. Where are you mama? How are you? There are so many more things I want to ask, I want to share. Don’t you miss your princess? If you can’t make it to home any sooner, then can you call me? I want to hear your voice. Waiting for your reply mama...

With love,                                                                                                                                   Your princess...

She then folded the letter and put in an envelope. A tear slithered down her cheek. She wiped it and marched towards his father. She handed the letter with puffy eyes. “Papa, can you mail it to mama? I know this time she will definitely reply me.” she said with pure confidence. Her father took the letter and attempted to smile.

**********
Her father went to the study room and sat across a window. Thousand of memories flashed in his mind. His beloved went on a trip before three years ago. The next day he got a call about his wife’s accident. He hurried towards that place only to find the lifeless, motionless body of his wife. That day he cried his heart out. Till now he couldn’t omit this painful memory. He couldn’t buy himself to tell this to his princess. He knew his princess was hoping something that would never get true... With that thought he placed that unsent letter in the drawer of his table along with seventeen more letters, which were also written by his princess.

A LETTER TO MY DAD

                                         # GreatDad

I saw the video a couple of times; here a father, reflecting on the question, if he really is a great Dad while putting up his responsibilities towards his son. I loved this video and got an idea. I thought,‘I will write a letter to my Dad on his B’day.’

Source: Google Images

 Dear Dad,

Many many happy returns of the day, hope GOD showers you HIS blessings for health, happiness and success. With a smile I woke up this morning and rushed towards your bedroom to wish you. You smiled and accepted my present. I know you always liked my paintings, so I made a painting for you.

I wonder, do you ever wish to know what kind of father you are in my life? I simply say ‘Dad, you are the coolest.’ You have wiped my running nose, massaged me with oil and mopped my pop. I have heard so many stories from my childhood like I always peed on you at night. I loved to pull your hair and  you shouted with agony.

I also heard from granny that first I learned to call ‘papa’ instead of ‘mama’. We always shared a special relationship, You have guided me, disciplined me, loved me, protected me, supported me, taught me and helped me in taking the right decision. You have stood by my side in my every decision. Till now you never spoke rudely with me.

Dad, you remember before five years, we were going somewhere on your bike. Your bike slipped in the sand and we both fell on the ground. I had a small crash, but blood dripping from your leg and you were asking about my well-about. You ran to hold an auto with your broken leg and helped me to get into that auto. From that day you became my superhero, my life savior.

When I was in school, I loved to walk holding your hand. Do you remember when I told you about my first crush, you burst out laughing at me. When I didn’t crack my IIT entrance exam, you were the one who told me to let it go. You understood me, when I told you about my dreams. You supported me, when I wish to become a writer. You have taken care of me, when I needed you the most.

When I secretly participated in the inter dance competition, you had forgiven me for not telling you the truth about my participation. From that moment my respect for you had increased and love for you deepen.

 I saw pride in your eyes, when I received the all rounder and the best guide award in my school. I get complements like ‘I look a lot like you.’, ‘ I’m  like my dad; caring, loving and intelligent.’

You are the one person for me; on whom I can lean on when I will feel tired, with whom I can hold hands  when I will feel lost and with whom I can share my thoughts when I feel low.

Let me tell you a secrete dad, your cooking is far better than mama’s. Happy birthday once again.

Yours lovely daughter,

MY DIARY (#6)

Source: Google Image

Recently I watched a video by Gillette Venus and that inspired me to write this post.

Dear Blog,

I admire them, who convert their hobby into profession. They live with satisfaction and work for them would never be any kind of pressure.

I always wanted to be a writer, though I never realized it initially. During my school days I tried to scribble something on a paper; never aware of the content and the quality of my writing. I also loved to doodle something in my drawing book; thank GOD due to my obstinacy my parents let me learn it and I joined an art class. I was also crazy for dance and I was taking classical dancing tuition. I joined scouting and guide during my schooling. I became the leader of my guide troop; there I gained my confidence and discovered my leadership quality.

I also had made my small journey from ‘OR’ to ‘AND’. When I was in standard eleventh, I started to read novels. As days passed by reading novels became habit, that habit became my hobby and my hobby became an obsession.

During my engineering my friend Pratikshya introduced me to the blogger world. I never thought that I will fall for blogging.

Each time I love to explore myself by trying new things. I never care for the achievements, but for my satisfaction because I interpreted success is self satisfaction. I decipher hobbies as passion but never thought of converting them into profession.

I’m happy and satisfy with my current state. When my heart will command me to lead in the direction of my hobbies, I will follow it blindly. I believe ‘One should never leave her passion, even though her profession is different.’

Now I can proudly say, “I’m a blogger AND dancer AND painter AND passionate reader AND reviewer AND writer."I have set my limit free. I’m no longer bound to a single tag. I always think tenth times before saying that ‘this thing is not my cup of tea.’ I will definitely earn some more tags in coming future, which will define me.

Till then,
 See you

I'm ME
