THE ONE N ONLY!!!

I've come across hundred or more numbers of Bollywood/Hollywood movies and more than thousand numbers of characters. Some characters are put thoughtfully, some with little comic element, some with negative aura and some are portrayed colorfully. Some characters touch our soul and make their places in our heart, where as some make us hate them from the bottom of our heart. I had already posted the list of my favorite peppy characters from Bollywood Movies. Here I'm going to reveal my most favorite character and once I dreamed to become like her.

Tada... She is Geet from Jab We Met...

She is warm, cute, chirpy and best known for her carefree attitude. She knows how to get her things done. Remember, she finally managed to convey Adity to drop her home with her suitcase (laughs).

Here are my reasons, what I like about her :

  • She solely believe in speaking her heart out despite of the place or situation or the current atmosphere. It doesn't matter whether anybody is listening to her or not. According to Geet, if you feel like talking, then you shouldn't care for the audience.

  • She loves to take risk. Remember, when she told Aditya that "life is my favorite game. What's your?" She's brave, as not all of us have the courage to elope from house to get married and again plan to return our house after marriage.

  • I love her 'Just Imagine' before most of the sentences. and her dialogues like "We'll tell this stories to our children", "I'm my favorite" and "The MRP written on the bottle is this and you're saying 2 rupees extra!!!".

  • Her boyfriend dumped her and eventually she realized that Aditya is the one for her. But, when her boyfriend came back to her life instead of setting with him, she choose what she wanted. I like this fact to always go with your heart.

Till now she is my top most favorite character. I would love to hear about your favorite characters.

MY LAST LOVE STORY : Book Blitz

About the Book:
Perfect for fans of JojoMoyes’s, Me Before You, My Last Love Story is a heartbreakingly romantic tale about the complexities of trauma and whether love can right a wrong.

I, Simeen Desai, am tired of making lemonade with the lemons life has handed me.

Love is meant to heal wounds.
Love was meant to make my world sparkle and spin.
Love has ripped my life apart and shattered my soul.

I love my husband, and he loves me.
But Nirvaan is dying.
I love my husband. I want to make him happy.
But he is asking for the impossible.

I don’t want a baby.
I don’t want to make nice with Zayaan.
I don’t want another chance at another love story.

Conversation with Zayaan Khan from My Last Love Story.

Introduce yourself to our readers.

Hey! I’m Zayaan Khan—Zai to my friends. I have two younger sisters and a mother, and we live in London. I’ve come to Carmel-by-the-Sea to be with Nirvaan and also to finish my dissertation in Islamic studies.

You’re a nerd, huh. Then, this question is perfect for you: If you could do something dangerous just once with no risk, what would you do?

Zai: Nirvaan and I have pretty much covered all the risky and dangerous things men can do. As of this moment, I’d try any risky experimental medical procedure on Nirvaan to rid his head of tumors once and for all.

What’s the biggest lie you told in childhood?

Zai: That I love my brother. That he was redeemable in Allah’s eyes.

Which of your ancestors would you most like to meet?

Zai: My eight-times great grandfather who was a Sufi saint. I’d love to meet him and discuss philosophy.

Is it more essential to develop beliefs or gain knowledge?

Zai: Gain knowledge, of course. Belief without knowledge is a waste and an error. Knowledge is reason. Belief can be unreasonable.

Heavy. Let’s end on a fun note, shall we? What’s the most fun party you ever attended?

Zai: My—our—fifteenth birthday party. It was at Dandi Beach back home in Gujarat. It’s where we—Nirvaan and I—met Simi.

And that’s our five questions done. Thanks for being a sport. And I wish you find that experimental procedure for Nirvaan too.

WRONG MEANS RIGHT ENDS : Book Review

Book Blurb:

Readers fell in love with Sneha and Nandini, two best friends who stuck to each other through heartbreak and joy in the bestselling novel, Right Fit Wrong Shoe. Now they are back in a delightful sequel that follows the two women as they begin the next phase of their lives in Mumbai.

After a failed marriage, Sneha, a single working mom, has no time, or inclination, for love. She resists every matchmaking attempt made by the overzealous Nandini, married to industrialist Aditya. But then the past intrudes in the form of the gorgeous and rich, Nikhil, who brings along Gayatri to break-up her ex-fiance, Aditya's marriage. Sneha enlists Nikhil's help to salvage the situation. But how does she even talk to a man who clearly loathes her? As Nikhil and Sneha try to grapple with their egos and combustible chemistry, love blossoms.

Wrong Means Right End, an exuberant story about love and friendship, is filled with surprises and a wicked twist at every turn.

My Review:

"Wrong means Right ends" focuses on Sneha, a single mother who lives in Mumbai with her kid. Sneha with the help of her best friend was able to move past her unhappy married life. Meanwhile, she meet Nikhil, with whom she has some past. And together they take vowed to save Nandini and Adi's marriage life.

This book is a quick read and all the incidents and characters will make the page turn. This is my first book from Varsha and she met my expectation level. Varsha Dixit seems a promising author. She has detailed every scene, but didn't exaggerate it.

Things I liked!!!

  • Well, apart from the strong story line, all characters are well etched out.All the incidents are likable and I relate it to Bollywood also. The writing style is good in terms of describing each and every scenes.

Things I didn't like!!!

  • As a reviewer, I find some editing flaws and the writing style can be improved a little. I hope she'll overcome these in her next book.

Apart from the flaws, this is an interesting read. All the protagonists, incidents and the story line will never let you keep down the book. This is highly recommended to all romance, Bollywood fans. You'll like its twists and turns. I'll give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

OneBlackMark App for TNElection2016

During election time, all the parties want to be visible through advertisement. And social media is one of the successful medium of advertisement. As you all knew its election time in Tamil Nadu, first time in the history of Tamil Nadu all the political parties started taking social media and online advertising seriously.

Yes it’s all because of one man Mr. Narendra Modi who nearly ruled every social media channel during the 2014 general elections in India. Now I am seeing so many Google display ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram and many other traditional print mediums. DMK (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) and PMK (Pattali makkal Katchi) are the parties who extensively using these advertising platforms.

Apart from this as a citizen I would really like to thank Tamilnadu Election Commission for its extraordinary efforts, which they have been taking since Jan-2016 for the initiatives. They came up with many voting awareness campaigns in various medium like print, celebrity video talks and through social media to achieve 100% polling in this Tamil Nadu state election 2016.

As an additional contribution to #TN100Percent initiative, an idea came up with a Mobile App called “One Black Mark” wherein people can take a selfie with the predesigned voting awareness stickers. Also they can share their selfie with friends through major social networks like Facebook and Twitter.

What inspired to make this app!!!

  • A clean and decency political ecosystem is what, everybody want. Now-a-days social media is one of the viral medium to create awareness. And Selfie is also trendy. So ti sum up all theses facts, the idea of this application came up.
Steps to use this app

  •   Open the app --- Choose your sticker --- Click your selfie --- Share it with your friends and groups.

Currently this app is made live for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry state Elections. Soon the other states  will be added and make this as a one stop app to create 100% polling awareness in India.

One Black Mark on your finger has all the capability to make the entire political ecosystem clean. Be proud to have this #OneBlackMark in your life.

Check out the android app here http://bit.ly/1YfxpmN iOS will be live by this weekend.

We are doing this just for a social cause and there are no monetary benefits and we are not supporting any political parties. If you like this app and initiative please share it with your friends and family.

DAUGHTER OF THE SUN : Book Review

Title: Daughter of the Sun (Cult of the Cat series, Book 1)
Author: Zoe Kalo
Genre: YA mythological fantasy
Word count: 93,000 words
Release date: May 1, 2016

Cult of the Cat series blurb

According to ancient Egyptian prophecy, three feline goddesses—Bastet, Sekhmet, and Mafdet—would one day be reborn as triplets during a solar eclipse.
But someone—or something—separated them at birth. Because if ever they were reunited, they would unleash a blistering power that could destroy the world.
In an adventure where the past confronts the present, and blood, betrayal and secrets abound, the triplets face each other for the first time. And discover they’re the only force able to stop the evil god Apophis from enslaving humanity.

Daughter of the Sun, Book 1 - blurb

Sixteen-year-old Trinity was born during a solar eclipse and left at the doorsteps of a convent along with a torn piece of papyrus covered with ancient symbols. Raised by nuns in the English countryside, she leads a quiet life until she’s whisked away to the Island of Cats and a grandmother she never knew.
But before they can get to know each other, her grandmother dies. All that Trinity has left is a mysterious eye-shaped ring. And a thousand grieving cats. As Trinity tries to solve the enigma of the torn papyrus, she discovers a world of bloody sacrifices and evil curses, and a prophecy that points to her and her new feline abilities.
Unwilling to believe that any of the Egyptian gods could still be alive, Trinity turns to eighteen-year-old Seth and is instantly pulled into a vortex of sensations that forces her to confront her true self—and a horrifying destiny.

About the Author
A certified bookworm, Zoe Kalo has always been obsessed with books and reading. Reading led to writing—compulsively. No surprise that at 16, she wrote her first novel, which her classmates read and passed around secretly. The pleasure of writing and sharing her fantasy worlds has stayed with her, so now she wants to pass her stories to you with no secrecy—but with lots of mystery…
A daughter of adventurous expats, she’s had the good fortune of living on 3 continents, learning 4 languages, and experiencing a multicultural life. Currently, she’s working on a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature, which she balances between writing, taking care of herclowder of cats, and searching for the perfect bottle of pinot noir.

My Review :

The story starts with Trinity and her surrounding from an orphanage, where she has spent her seventeen years. Once she came to find out the fact that she has a grand mother and her grand mother sent someone to take her . This book is the combination of romance, thriller, action and fantasy. As a debut novel  the author has done an amazing job. This book is best suitable for all the age groups, who're fantasy and mythology lovers.

What I like!!!

  • The author has strong command over words, so the writing flow is amazing. She hasn't left a chance where I would've said, "This is flat!". I loved her writing style. All the characters are well sketched out, specially I liked Trinity.
  • The story moves with right pace. It's very difficult for fantasy writers to keep their stories unique. Zoe Kalo has done her job perfectly by keeping her story quirky.

What I not like!!!

  • Well, I didn't find anything for my unlikeness. I felt bad that the story ends.

Once you keep the book, you won't leave it before completing. I will give it 5 out of 5 stars for the strong story line, well portrayed characters, perfect writing styles. This book is highly recommended to all romance, fantasy, young adult and thriller lovers.
