Prince Charming and Cinderella

The sun goes down,
the stars come out,
And all that counts
To here and now,
My universe will never be the same,
I'm glad you came.

I love fairy tales; I wish to be Cinderella one day.

My diary (#4)

Dear Blog,

In the month of January, I and my friends had participated in pot painting hosted by shristi club, one of the club from our college.  It took a lot of effort to paint all the pots. I was happy that our pots sold at 250/- each in our college tech fest.  I want to share some photos of it.

Pot made by me and my friend pratikshya

Made by my friends Saswati and Lipsa

Made by my friend Pratikshya (another one)

If I were to be the judge, then the bellow two images are the best pots. These two pots were made by two candidates in each group.

I ran as fast as I could and where my feet took me; never aware of the surroundings and situation. After some time I found myself in a green room. I went to a corner and started sobbing silently. My mind was wondering so many questions. I had already made up my mind, but what now? Then something hit me; Ohh... No, I left that place. That place was surrounded by thousands of people, His fans. The concert was also live and maybe the whole nation was watching. I embarrassed him in front of the whole nation. I should have stayed quiet. A shiver ran down my spine and a thud sound came from the door. The door was flung open and there he was standing. His eyes explained about his desperateness and sadness. Then he came near me and we stood face to face.

“I’m sorry...” was all he managed to say. My eyes got wide with utter shock. Why was he saying sorry, It was me who embarrassed him. “I shouldn’t have done that. It was may be awkward for you. It’s just...” I trailed him in mid sentence. “Are you stupid? I was the one who should be sorry and I didn’t mean to run. I was so scared at that time. I wanted that for so long, I never know when the first time I fall for you. But I thought after your music lunch you forget me. I thought I was a piece of the past for you, who has no importance in your life. ” I was yelling at him for making me wait so long and treating me like a stranger. My tears were continuously falling making my eyes a little shade of red.

He held my hand and pushed me towards his strong chest and started to pat my head. He hugged me. “Believe me, I tried a lot to reach you. At that time I didn’t have the option of coming home. You changed your number, but I didn’t. I waited for your call all this while. I was dancing my head up like a crazy person when I found you.” He confessed. “Will you give me another chance?” He was looking into my eyes. I blushed “it’s like a dream comes true for me. Obviously yes...” before I continue he peeked in my forehead.
We headed toward the stage with intertwine our hands. The crowd again started to cheer up, but still some with confused looks. “Friends I want you all to meet my special person.” He stated with a broad smile.
He started the song again, where he left it. “You’ve fallen for me, fallen for me, you melted because of my sweet love... You’ve fallen for me, fallen for me, you’ve fallen for the look in my eyes... See my eyes, you’ve fallen for me... See my eyes, you’ve fallen for me....” perhaps the whole country was witnessing this live program. I looked at him as he circled around me. He smiled at me every second.
And I fall for him once more, all over again...

Dear Diary,

It’s been eight months to that concert. And we have at least fifty dates, sixty fights, ten break ups and patch ups. Every girl wants to know the secret why he, a rock star, falls for me. Some of his fans have joined anti -fan team by protesting me as his girl friend. This made me laugh. But more over I’m so happy that my story got a happy ending.

See you again.

HEART STRING (His Concert)

Dear Diary,

The day has finally come. I can’t wait more to see him. I can’t express my excitement; there is nothing more to say...

See you soon

I closed my diary and marched towards the door. Within one hour I reached in his concert, the place was huge as I was never been to one before. My eyes got wide to see the crowd. They were cheering for him, that scene cherished me the most. Then his name was announced and he appeared on the stage. In these few years he aged a little, he had grown longer and must be six feet now.

He smiled at the crowd, but his eyes searching something. The focus shifted from one end of the gallery to the other and the faces were magnified on the larger screen. He waved at the crowd gracefully. For a moment I thought his eyes met mine, but how could that be possible. Then he began his speech by saying his new album is for someone special; who took care of him, who melted his ice stone heart and who always supported him despite of any situation.

I had noticed that thankfully my side seats were empty for some reason. May be people were coming I thought to myself. I don’t like so many crowds and secondly, I also hate the attention.

Then he held the guitar closer to him and started singing “ Will you be staying with me forever... The two of us love each other... Live a happy life for a hundred and thousand years... To be honest with you, I like you more than you like me...”

He was putting his voice, heart as well as soul into the song. The lyrics and tune were complementing each other. I even could feel the pure feeling he had for ‘someone special’.  I was devoured by his song. By the time he finished his song; I stood with the crowd, started shouting, clapping with the people around me. After a few seconds a wide smile played on his face and at the same time the focus rested on me and he walked towards me. I was dumbstruck.  That was way beyond my understanding level.

His  p.o.v.

At first I was nervous whether I’m going to see her or not. And then I saw her sitting alone in the first row of VIP seats as I planned. She was smiling at me at that instant I knew what I have to do; I waited for my first song to be completed which was sung for her. Then I made my way towards her and simultaneously started my song which I used to sing during our school days. Her favorite one “You have fallen for me”. She was also unaware that at that time I had written it for her. I was enjoying her stupefied look. My every step rhythmically matched with my song.

Everything about us started coincidentally
At first I didn't know that this was going to be loved, but to think that this was actually love
My heart keeps on going thump...
When you look at me, you keep on smiling without you even noticing,
And before you even realized, you started to fall for me

You’ve fallen for me, fallen for me, you melted because of my sweet love
You’ve fallen for me, fallen for me, you’ve fallen for the look in my eyes
See my eyes, you’ve fallen for me
See my eyes, you’ve fallen for me....

I came up each step and stopped in front of her. I was so happy to see her that I could have hugged her right away, but something held me from doing that. After those lines I paused for her response, but in return I got silence.

Hope she understood this, my indirect confession... But instead she ran away. Why? I didn’t get it. But I knew that I have to go after her. This time I will not lose her.

HEART STRING (Memories)

                       // MEMORIES//

Note- This is the second chapter. To read first chapter click here.

Dear Diary,

Memories can be sweet or sour. But I knew that those precious times with him always be the special memory for me. During those days he used to sing his roughly composed songs “you have fallen for me”, “My princess”, “coffee mug” and etc. Out of which “You have fallen for me” was my favorite one. I wanted to hear his voice but couldn't bear if he doesn't recognize mine. Now I also clearly remember on a spring evening I was filling my scrapbook with our pictures when he barged into my room without knocking.  I suddenly placed that scrap book under my pillow. I snapped at him with my teddy and we argued about knocking. Then I dragged him out of my room to the terrace and there he told me he has something important to tell me. At first I thought he was going to confess about his feeling. I thought he had the same feeling as mine, but instead of that he told me about his selection for a music album. I stunned for a moment; didn't understand whether I was feeling happy that his dream is going to be fulfilled or sad that he is going to leave me soon. But I suppressed all my emotions and congratulated him. Some emotions are unspoken; he should have seen that in my eyes....

What I’m expecting right now. I have wasted three hours to decide what to wear tomorrow. Because tomorrow is the day I’m going to see him in his concert and tomorrow is going to be a long day...

See you soon

I closed my diary, then changed into my shorts and went to bed. I couldn't sleep that night and ended up hearing his song 'you took my heart away' from his first music album. I knew that between two hearts ones’ will be accepted where the others’ have to remained close.

Staring at the moon, so blue
Turning all my thoughts to you
I was without hopes or dreams
I tried to dull an inner scream
But you saw me through

Walking on a path of air
See your faces everywhere
As you melt this heart of stone
You take my hand to guide me home
And now I'm in love

You took my heart away
When my whole world was gray
You gave me everything
And a little bit more....

His  p.o.v.

I didn't know whether she is coming to my concert or not. It had been already four years I last saw her. I gave her my number but she never contacted me and instead she changed her number. Recently I found her through Facebook. I didn't believe she used a fake name but a grin came on my face when I had seen her comments on my every post. I wanted to see her and hear her voice so desperately that I organized a fake lucky draw and send her an invitation for my tomorrow’s concert. But I didn't get any confirmation yet. I can’t let her go and I will never let her go...no matter what.

HEART STRING (Dear Diary)

                                           //Dear Diary//

It was a dark and stormy night and was heavily pouring down with thunder and lightning. Electricity supply was out all through the place. There she was, sitting near the window with her diary, where she put all her emotions, thoughts, feelings and her secrets. The secret she never shares with anyone only with her diary. Opening her diary, she started her writing.

Dear Diary,

I don’t know how to start, but today I watched a talk-show where he said that he already has someone special in his life. I don’t understand whether the tears are forming in my eyes were for grief or happiness. My eyes are swollen from the constant two hours of cry. I want to overcome it, May be he doesn't remember me now. I never know exactly when I fall for him; was it the time when he rescued me from the goons or we promised to never be apart from each other or when we ran together holding hands.  He promised me that he will come back for me, but he never once in those four long years. But still a hope was there until today...

See you soon

I again heard his songs. A vivid memory reminded me the first time we meet each other was when we were only eight years old. It’s like a very common story. It all started with a big fight, but ended with us being best friends. But now it took me a while to realize that our past was real. I thought he had forgotten me in these four long years. Sometimes I gathered all my courage to call him, but cut it just before it connects. Now I read about him on the internet, Facebook, fan page and talk-shows. I watched how people are admiring him; copying his style. I have to move on, maybe sacrifice is the word I can use in my case.

A message popped up on my laptop window, making me come back to reality. I never realized that when the light came back. Oh... I have forgotten to log out from my email account. I came near my laptop and opened that mail, it said that I received one of the few invitations to his concert. I didn't understand if I mean to get one or it’s just a coincidence. But I choose the second one. I will go and cheer him standing in the audience. Perhaps I won’t get a chance in future.

GOD IS A GAMER

Book Source : Blogadda
Publisher : Penguin Books India
Price : Rs. 299/-
Genre : Thriller

There are so many thriller books that can leave an imprint in reader’s mind. Readers are mesmerised by that books and they started to follow the tune of the book. Ravi Subramanian’s “GOD IS A GAMER” is one of those kinds. To compel readers a unique hit idea is required, Here Ravi Subramanian has shed the idea of modern times i.e. bitcoins.

The book starts with a discussion between two corporate honchos; one is MasterCard and the other is Visa International. There are a lot of things going on in parallel picture; an explosion in Washington D.C. leads the FBI to a chase in Mumbai. In India things are also taking their own shape; a banker slips from the rooftop of a high-rise building and falls to her death.  Aditya Rao the head of a struggling gaming company tastes the success after Varun, a genius join him. And lastly the finance minister discovers that He has made some promises which will cost him in future.  Everything is co-related and the revelation will shock you as the truth will step by step gets unfold.

God Is a Gamer is a world where money means nothing, martyrs are villains, predators are prey, assassination is taught by the ancient Greeks and nothing is as it seems.

The plot is tight and it can compel the reader to turn a couple of pages to know what will happen next. The number of characters, their motives and their struggles which prompt their actions may overwhelm you by the sheer volume of them, and may seem difficult to keep a track of at times. Every stroke is broad and each page covers a lot of action, juggling between nations like an enthusiastic performer at a circus.

The cover and title of the book is nice and stylish; it has that efficient power to attract reader towards it. The cover is about a lone man standing along with a symbol of bitcoin. The chapters are small, complementing each other and it is not difficult to decipher the entire drama.

The large number of characters somehow makes the story clumsier. The story dulls a little in the middle portion but takes up at the end part. The end part is still not as proficient as compared to the initial part; a lot of actions going on in each chapter. You can guess the culprit with not much difficulty.

In this book bitcoins are referred as sugar coated bitter pill. As a thriller genre the book successfully sheds its charm and captures the heart of readers. The author’s effort also remarkable; he has penned the story marvelously.

Ravi Subramanian is a promising Indian author. A banker by profession, Subramanian has written popular thrillers about banking and bankers. Along with two awards winning titles “The incredible banker” and “The bankster”.

I will recommend it to all who loves thriller with a unique story plot and wants to taste the little essence of love, lies, and secret along with goose bumping thriller. It is not a quick read but neither lengthy also. I will give 4 out of 5 stars to this book.
