My Review:
This is my first book from Cate Beauman and this book didn’t
disappoint me. She has proper command over words. Her writing style is simple
yet striking. The story begins with Sarah bringing Kylee to home and the
hilarious moment of Ethan changing Kylee’s diaper, then suddenly the death news
of Jake (Sarah’s husband). The first
chapter is wrapped up all sorts of emotions. I was hooked to this book from the
first chapter.
I liked Sarah the most; her struggle to move on and normalizing
her problematic romance made me more understanding towards her. Ethan is perfect
example of a friend in deed; he was there in all difficult stages of Sarah yet
sometimes he behaves like a jerk. I loved Kylee also.
This book has the journey from friendship to something more
and a serial rapist who seemed more of a psycho. I’ll give this book 4 out of 5
stars for its fusion of heartwarming and painful story line. This book is
highly recommended to all romance and suspense fans.
