BOOK BLURB-:
Ayaan never knew what his tryst with life would give him. It
gave him a dainty damsel Simran, with whom he shares his heart. Sooner turmoil
breaks in. A contrast between them plays the evil. They have a truth to fight
when they later meet. Their fight is a mere dictation which destiny voices in
their lives.
The Dictation of Destiny is beyond love, poetry, romance and
addictions. It’s a part of one’s unsaid heart.
My Review-:
One of my friend suggested this book to me as the author is
from her college. So I grabbed this book with my coffee and started reading it.
I can’t say it’s a quick read but still I hardly take this away from me.
To start with what attracted me towards this book were its
cover and the unique yet simple name of the novel. This book has that potential
to take you to the eternity of love. This book defines perfectly the definition
of love, religion barrier, destiny and the consequences of turmoil. The plot
has a backdrop of Odisha and the story is about their love which fall test to
everything.
The characters are pretty strong; the male protagonist Ayan
is a sober and caring personality, who can wait for his love and deeply believe
in commitment. You have to complete the book to understand the female
protagonist simran. I liked akruti (Ayan’s close friend) though her parts were
little.
Rukhshan Ur Rahman is a promising author. He writes this book
in a poetic manner and after each chapter he provides a poem. The last two
chapters are my favourite. Some of his lines that win my heart
"For the moment I smiled and looked for her, but she was gone, lost in the
allusion of a deserted flight, I cried, I screamed, I squalled out loud, But nothing of her being was
traced nor found. She infringed my feelings and
poisoned my love; She
shattered my beats with the curse of lone."
I have to be honest with my review; there are some things
which I don’t like. First the length of the book should be little less. Second
the story is dragged a little in the middle portion so may be some reader lost
their interest. If the above cases would be taken care then it would be a much
better book.
This book is about a
contemplating love story, mesmerizing path, astonishing characters and some
inspiration from day today life. I will recommend this book to those who are believer
of love and to those who believe in mushy love.
I will give 3 out of 5 stars.
