My diary (#4)
Dear Blog,
In the month of January, I and my friends had participated in pot painting hosted by shristi club, one of the club from our college. It took a lot of effort to paint all the pots. I was happy that our pots sold at 250/- each in our college tech fest. I want to share some photos of it.

I ran as fast as I could and where my feet took me; never aware of the surroundings and situation. After some time I found myself in a green room. I went to a corner and started sobbing silently. My mind was wondering so many questions. I had already made up my mind, but what now? Then something hit me; Ohh... No, I left that place. That place was surrounded by thousands of people, His fans. The concert was also live and maybe the whole nation was watching. I embarrassed him in front of the whole nation. I should have stayed quiet. A shiver ran down my spine and a thud sound came from the door. The door was flung open and there he was standing. His eyes explained about his desperateness and sadness. Then he came near me and we stood face to face.
“I’m sorry...” was all he managed to say. My eyes got wide with utter shock. Why was he saying sorry, It was me who embarrassed him. “I shouldn’t have done that. It was may be awkward for you. It’s just...” I trailed him in mid sentence. “Are you stupid? I was the one who should be sorry and I didn’t mean to run. I was so scared at that time. I wanted that for so long, I never know when the first time I fall for you. But I thought after your music lunch you forget me. I thought I was a piece of the past for you, who has no importance in your life. ” I was yelling at him for making me wait so long and treating me like a stranger. My tears were continuously falling making my eyes a little shade of red.
He held my hand and pushed me towards his strong chest and started to pat my head. He hugged me. “Believe me, I tried a lot to reach you. At that time I didn’t have the option of coming home. You changed your number, but I didn’t. I waited for your call all this while. I was dancing my head up like a crazy person when I found you.” He confessed. “Will you give me another chance?” He was looking into my eyes. I blushed “it’s like a dream comes true for me. Obviously yes...” before I continue he peeked in my forehead.
We headed toward the stage with intertwine our hands. The crowd again started to cheer up, but still some with confused looks. “Friends I want you all to meet my special person.” He stated with a broad smile.
He started the song again, where he left it. “You’ve fallen for me, fallen for me, you melted because of my sweet love... You’ve fallen for me, fallen for me, you’ve fallen for the look in my eyes... See my eyes, you’ve fallen for me... See my eyes, you’ve fallen for me....” perhaps the whole country was witnessing this live program. I looked at him as he circled around me. He smiled at me every second.
And I fall for him once more, all over again...
******************************************
Dear Diary,
It’s been eight months to that concert. And we have at least fifty dates, sixty fights, ten break ups and patch ups. Every girl wants to know the secret why he, a rock star, falls for me. Some of his fans have joined anti -fan team by protesting me as his girl friend. This made me laugh. But more over I’m so happy that my story got a happy ending.
See you again.

Dear Diary,
The day has finally come. I can’t wait more to see him. I can’t express my excitement; there is nothing more to say...
See you soon
I closed my diary and marched towards the door. Within one hour I reached in his concert, the place was huge as I was never been to one before. My eyes got wide to see the crowd. They were cheering for him, that scene cherished me the most. Then his name was announced and he appeared on the stage. In these few years he aged a little, he had grown longer and must be six feet now.
He smiled at the crowd, but his eyes searching something. The focus shifted from one end of the gallery to the other and the faces were magnified on the larger screen. He waved at the crowd gracefully. For a moment I thought his eyes met mine, but how could that be possible. Then he began his speech by saying his new album is for someone special; who took care of him, who melted his ice stone heart and who always supported him despite of any situation.
I had noticed that thankfully my side seats were empty for some reason. May be people were coming I thought to myself. I don’t like so many crowds and secondly, I also hate the attention.
Then he held the guitar closer to him and started singing “ Will you be staying with me forever... The two of us love each other... Live a happy life for a hundred and thousand years... To be honest with you, I like you more than you like me...”
He was putting his voice, heart as well as soul into the song. The lyrics and tune were complementing each other. I even could feel the pure feeling he had for ‘someone special’. I was devoured by his song. By the time he finished his song; I stood with the crowd, started shouting, clapping with the people around me. After a few seconds a wide smile played on his face and at the same time the focus rested on me and he walked towards me. I was dumbstruck. That was way beyond my understanding level.
His p.o.v.
At first I was nervous whether I’m going to see her or not. And then I saw her sitting alone in the first row of VIP seats as I planned. She was smiling at me at that instant I knew what I have to do; I waited for my first song to be completed which was sung for her. Then I made my way towards her and simultaneously started my song which I used to sing during our school days. Her favorite one “You have fallen for me”. She was also unaware that at that time I had written it for her. I was enjoying her stupefied look. My every step rhythmically matched with my song.
Everything about us started coincidentally
At first I didn't know that this was going to be loved, but to think that this was actually love
My heart keeps on going thump...
When you look at me, you keep on smiling without you even noticing,
And before you even realized, you started to fall for me
You’ve fallen for me, fallen for me, you melted because of my sweet love
You’ve fallen for me, fallen for me, you’ve fallen for the look in my eyes
See my eyes, you’ve fallen for me
See my eyes, you’ve fallen for me....
I came up each step and stopped in front of her. I was so happy to see her that I could have hugged her right away, but something held me from doing that. After those lines I paused for her response, but in return I got silence.
Hope she understood this, my indirect confession... But instead she ran away. Why? I didn’t get it. But I knew that I have to go after her. This time I will not lose her.

HEART STRING (Memories)
// MEMORIES//
Dear Diary,
Memories can be sweet or sour. But I knew that those precious times with him always be the special memory for me. During those days he used to sing his roughly composed songs “you have fallen for me”, “My princess”, “coffee mug” and etc. Out of which “You have fallen for me” was my favorite one. I wanted to hear his voice but couldn't bear if he doesn't recognize mine. Now I also clearly remember on a spring evening I was filling my scrapbook with our pictures when he barged into my room without knocking. I suddenly placed that scrap book under my pillow. I snapped at him with my teddy and we argued about knocking. Then I dragged him out of my room to the terrace and there he told me he has something important to tell me. At first I thought he was going to confess about his feeling. I thought he had the same feeling as mine, but instead of that he told me about his selection for a music album. I stunned for a moment; didn't understand whether I was feeling happy that his dream is going to be fulfilled or sad that he is going to leave me soon. But I suppressed all my emotions and congratulated him. Some emotions are unspoken; he should have seen that in my eyes....
What I’m expecting right now. I have wasted three hours to decide what to wear tomorrow. Because tomorrow is the day I’m going to see him in his concert and tomorrow is going to be a long day...
See you soon
I closed my diary, then changed into my shorts and went to bed. I couldn't sleep that night and ended up hearing his song 'you took my heart away' from his first music album. I knew that between two hearts ones’ will be accepted where the others’ have to remained close.
Staring at the moon, so blue
Turning all my thoughts to you
I was without hopes or dreams
I tried to dull an inner scream
But you saw me through
Walking on a path of air
See your faces everywhere
As you melt this heart of stone
You take my hand to guide me home
And now I'm in love
You took my heart away
When my whole world was gray
You gave me everything
And a little bit more....
His p.o.v.
I didn't know whether she is coming to my concert or not. It had been already four years I last saw her. I gave her my number but she never contacted me and instead she changed her number. Recently I found her through Facebook. I didn't believe she used a fake name but a grin came on my face when I had seen her comments on my every post. I wanted to see her and hear her voice so desperately that I organized a fake lucky draw and send her an invitation for my tomorrow’s concert. But I didn't get any confirmation yet. I can’t let her go and I will never let her go...no matter what.

HEART STRING (Dear Diary)
//Dear Diary//
It was a dark and stormy night and was heavily pouring down with thunder and lightning. Electricity supply was out all through the place. There she was, sitting near the window with her diary, where she put all her emotions, thoughts, feelings and her secrets. The secret she never shares with anyone only with her diary. Opening her diary, she started her writing.
Dear Diary,
I don’t know how to start, but today I watched a talk-show where he said that he already has someone special in his life. I don’t understand whether the tears are forming in my eyes were for grief or happiness. My eyes are swollen from the constant two hours of cry. I want to overcome it, May be he doesn't remember me now. I never know exactly when I fall for him; was it the time when he rescued me from the goons or we promised to never be apart from each other or when we ran together holding hands. He promised me that he will come back for me, but he never once in those four long years. But still a hope was there until today...
See you soon
I again heard his songs. A vivid memory reminded me the first time we meet each other was when we were only eight years old. It’s like a very common story. It all started with a big fight, but ended with us being best friends. But now it took me a while to realize that our past was real. I thought he had forgotten me in these four long years. Sometimes I gathered all my courage to call him, but cut it just before it connects. Now I read about him on the internet, Facebook, fan page and talk-shows. I watched how people are admiring him; copying his style. I have to move on, maybe sacrifice is the word I can use in my case.
A message popped up on my laptop window, making me come back to reality. I never realized that when the light came back. Oh... I have forgotten to log out from my email account. I came near my laptop and opened that mail, it said that I received one of the few invitations to his concert. I didn't understand if I mean to get one or it’s just a coincidence. But I choose the second one. I will go and cheer him standing in the audience. Perhaps I won’t get a chance in future.

GOD IS A GAMER
![]() |
Book Source : Blogadda
Publisher : Penguin
Books India
Price : Rs. 299/-
Genre : Thriller |
There are so many thriller books that can leave an imprint
in reader’s mind. Readers are mesmerised by that books and they started to
follow the tune of the book. Ravi Subramanian’s “GOD IS A GAMER” is one of
those kinds. To compel readers a unique hit idea is required, Here Ravi
Subramanian has shed the idea of modern times i.e. bitcoins.
The book starts with a discussion between two corporate
honchos; one is MasterCard and the other is Visa International. There are a lot
of things going on in parallel picture; an explosion in Washington D.C. leads
the FBI to a chase in Mumbai. In India things are also taking their own shape;
a banker slips from the rooftop of a high-rise building and falls to her death.
Aditya Rao the head of a struggling gaming
company tastes the success after Varun, a genius join him. And lastly the
finance minister discovers that He has made some promises which will cost him
in future. Everything is co-related and
the revelation will shock you as the truth will step by step gets unfold.
God Is a Gamer is a world where money means nothing, martyrs
are villains, predators are prey, assassination is taught by the ancient Greeks
and nothing is as it seems.
The plot is tight and it can compel the reader to turn a
couple of pages to know what will happen next. The number of characters, their
motives and their struggles which prompt their actions may overwhelm you by the
sheer volume of them, and may seem difficult to keep a track of at times. Every
stroke is broad and each page covers a lot of action, juggling between nations
like an enthusiastic performer at a circus.
The cover and title of the book is nice and stylish; it has
that efficient power to attract reader towards it. The cover is about a lone
man standing along with a symbol of bitcoin. The chapters are small,
complementing each other and it is not difficult to decipher the entire drama.
The large number of characters somehow makes the story
clumsier. The story dulls a little in the middle portion but takes up at the
end part. The end part is still not as proficient as compared to the initial
part; a lot of actions going on in each chapter. You can guess the culprit with
not much difficulty.
In this book bitcoins are referred as sugar coated bitter
pill. As a thriller genre the book successfully sheds its charm and captures
the heart of readers. The author’s effort also remarkable; he has penned the
story marvelously.
Ravi
Subramanian is a promising Indian author. A banker by profession, Subramanian
has written popular thrillers about banking and bankers. Along with two awards
winning titles “The incredible banker” and “The bankster”.
I will recommend it to all who loves thriller with a unique
story plot and wants to taste the little essence of love, lies, and secret
along with goose bumping thriller. It is not a quick read but neither lengthy
also. I will give 4 out of 5 stars to this book.

Love Lasts Forever...
![]() |
| Author: Vikrant Khanna Publisher: Shrishti Publishers & Distributors Number of Pages: 248 Price [INR] : 150 Genre: Fiction |
Ronit falls madly in
love with a beautiful girl, Aisha, when he was eighteen and wants to marry her instantly.
After her protest for seven years she finally agrees for the marriage. He
thought that his love for her will last longer. He has seen the soul mate in
her. And they get married. A week later,
he hates his lady love from the bottom of his heart. He doesn't understand why
she changed so much.
To escape from her and his messed up married life; he leaves
in a ship to work. But his perception about love and life change when he hears
the poignant love story of his captain, on a ship. But unfortunately that ship
later gets hijacked by the pirates of Somalia.
As they are left fighting for their lives they confront if
love truly can last forever...? But does it get too late?
Love lasts forever is a combination of love, humor and ego.
It is a quick read for a Sunday afternoon. The language of the book is well-spoken
and simple. There are two love stories going on in a parallel motion with
different time period and with different generations; one is Ronit’s and the
other is Shekhar’s, his captain. Believe
me once you start reading it you can’t keep it away from you. This book clearly
gives a chance to reconsider love, commitment as sometimes we don’t get a
second chance.
At first I didn’t like Ronit, perhaps due to his perception
on women. He even thought of divorcing his wife. But at last I also fall for
this character. I like some lines, when he take advice from his friend Joey Sing,
“Men go shopping to buy what they want; but women go shopping to know what they
want”.
I love the captain’s love story. It was simple yet has the
power to shed some tears from people’s eye. You can feel the warmness in
captain’s touching story.
The cover of the book is quite attractive, at first glance I
also attracted to its cover.
Some
of the lines I really liked
“It’s not too hard to keep a woman happy. All they want is
your love, care, support, and apparently a good ear”.
“How can someone be so much in love that everything in his
life revolves around that person he loves? And why do these feelings never
cease, instead flourish with each passing day?”
I will
give 3.5 stars out of 5 to this book.

A letter to my cousin
This time blogadda bought a topic to write a letter to
someone you miss in this diwali. So I’m writing to my cousin who is two year
older than me. We have celebrated most of the diwalis together.
Dear sister,
I hope everything is fine in your house. You must be
enjoying Diwali at your home, but I miss the perks of being with you. How is
your preparation for bank P.O. exams going on?
You are appearing that exams in the coming month na? So how is uncle and
aunt? What are doing in this diwali, I mean anything special?
Ohh! Stupid of me. I’m
asking only questions, but you know my curiosity level na. Papa has already
brought diyas, sweets and crackers. Mama and I will be doing the rangoli. Today
we were deciding the menu for lunch and dinner. I know we have celebrated
previous Diwali together and this time it is impossible for you to come here, as your bank exams are coming near. All
the things without you will be incomplete. Remember I will say it again, there is
not much time when you walk out of road for a journey to chase your dreams,
happiness is the first thing you will need in that time.
Okay you must be thinking in a festive season how can I bore
you by giving lectures. I feel a little old after glancing back to past days. So I will stop here. Listen don’t you dare to
eat all the chocolates alone. Stay happy and energetic.
Waiting for your reply
Yours
little sister,
Appy

A DATE WITH GOD
I tiptoed towards the slanting bridge with a red coated
white gown and my red sandal. I have to cross the bridge so that I can reach my
destination. But I didn’t know where I’m heading to or why? The only thing I
knew was someone is waiting for me.
After I cross the bridge a beautiful classic garden popped up
in my view. It was rich in different types flower plants. But what drew my
attention were orchid flowers, I love them. As I moved ahead my gaze fell on a
white glass table and two chairs placed in the middle of the garden.
I came closer to that table and saw a beautiful man was
walking towards me from the other direction; Light beams were coming from him.
Wait!!! Did I say beautiful?
“Finally you have come, I was waiting for you.” He stated
with a smile on his face. “Umm...hello may I know who are you? And why I’m
here?” I was confused at that time and he must have seen it on my face. “Who
I’m not important but Arpita Did you forgot we have a date today.” He threw his hand in air to show me to sit in
the chair. I silently followed his command. “Arpita did you wish to score good
marks in exams?” I didn’t get his question. “Yes, I mean everybody want it” I
said it with a-quite-obvious look. “But if you didn’t work hard and only wish
then how can you succeed? You also give up so quickly. May I know why?” He
retorted again.
“May be I’m like that, I get depressed by failure. And maybe
I’m not getting enough motivation.” I murmured with a sad expression. He
extended his hand and lifted my chin up so that we were facing each other.
“That’s why I’m here Arpita, to motivate you because life can’t be perfect without motivations. And my dear
there is a say that the strongest people
aren’t always the people who win, but the people who don’t give up when they
lose.” I saw a twinkle in his eyes
when he was explaining things to me.
“What do you want to eat?” his question made me think a
little. “Umm...I’m not much of an eater but if you insists then cutlet will be
fine.” It’s because I don’t like
vegetables and potato is my one n only favorite veggie. “Cutlet, you eat that
daily. Let’s eat salad?” Ohh...GOD how he knew that I eat cutlet daily.
“Actually I don’t eat much veggie. So salad is not my liking.” A faint smile
crossed across his face. “You are throwing your attitude like a princess. You don’t
like vegetables but you know people don’t get vegetables.” He was saying the
truth but the truth always hurt more.
“Arpita you are a nice girl. So live as if you were to die tomorrow. And learn as if you were to live
forever. We have to hurry up It’s your get up time na?” again he smiled.
“But you didn’t tell me who are you?” I asked this time out of curiosity. How
did he know so many things about me? “You can call me your well wisher.”
With that the garden started to fade along with the scenery
and darkness started to engulf me. I saw my phone was in my hand and an alarm was
ringing at 6 pm. I didn’t even realize when that phone came to my hand. “See
you soon my well wisher” I shouted aloud.
I opened my eyes and observed my surrounding. It was the
same familiar my room and I were in my bed. Was that all a dream? I patted my
forearm and thought I had a date with GOD.

LOVE AND HATE
If I look down my life, I can see so many experiences
starting from friendship to break up to emotional breakdown. But that one feeling I never want to forget
i.e. Love and Hate.
During my school days I walked home from school with my
equally skinny best friend Viviane. And
on our way back we generally talked about Jake. Ahh...Before that let me tell
you all that Jake was my sworn enemy or worst enemy. I hated him with my life.
Every time Jake and few other friends of his taunted us. They had also invented
a thousand ways to make me cry.
My Dad always assured me “they only do that because they like
you honey. Cassie you know if you don’t react then only they will stop
bothering you.” I didn’t realize at that time that the torture from Jake was
actually attention. By the tenth grade I was used to that torture. By that
point Jake had moved on to hitting us with water filled balloons.
I had known him for five years but the funny thing was we
considered each other friends. I knew he somehow enjoyed my company. When
others were not around then he would talk to me. He had taught me how to skeet
but he never mentioned it to anyone. He behaved so nice to me in private but he
always maintained the tough exterior in front of others. We even held hands on
my sixteenth birthday and watched the sunset together.
When I had completed high school, we got into separated
universities. On a summer I returned home from my first year of college, I ran
into Jake. He was living on his own at that time. I found myself sitting in his
apartment. We talked about those years when he bullied me, made me cry and even
gave comfort me. After that I asked him, “Did you ever have a crush on me?”
And he responded, “Yes Cassie I had a crush on you the whole
time but fear of losing you.”
We shared the love and hate relationship. Even now also I
haven’t forgotten that memories.

THE SMILING STRANGER
![]() |
| Imagine the bus stop like this |
It was mid
September. And Kolkata was much crowed due to upcoming Durga puja. I was
waiting for the second bus as I missed the first one due to some work in
school. Yes I’m Divya Mukharjee, a school teacher by profession. The breeze
blowing on the bridge was the only relief for my exhaustions.
After the
waiting of ten more minutes I got my bus. I looked around, as I generally do to
observe people, read their faces and capture their vivid expressions. Looking
around, I ended up with nothing interesting to invest time in and focus on. I
took the window seat and after some time a girl with hazel eyes and smiling
face sat beside me.
“So!!! You
are from Kolkata?” she was the one to break the silence first. “Yes and you
are?”I replied with a smile. “Actually I was born here but I left Kolkata when
I was nine year old as my dad shifted to Bangalore. But I’m visiting Kolkata
now.” that smile never left from her face.
“By the way
I’m Divya.” I extended my hand towards her direction. “Ohh...I forgot to
introduce myself, I’m Ruchira” she shook my hand firmly. For the next few
minutes we talked about various topics, our professions and our point of view.
I was seeing a friend in this stranger.
“So where
were you staying before shifting?”I questioned. “My residence was near
Barrackpore. So many years have passed and I haven’t gone to that place for
quite long.” She added but stopped seeing my reaction. “That’s where I lived
and I had been living there for my entire life.” Frankly I was surprised.

Ruchira or Ruchi was my best buddy in
school. We used to sit together, play together, and had our Tiffin together.
Students were very jealous of our friendship. Everything was picture perfect
until her fathers’ transfer news broke on us. We were standard four students at
that time and she had to leave in such a hurry that I had not given a chance to
properly goodbye her.
May be she
didn’t remember me. I was taken aback by the vivid memory. I looked at her and
again she was smiling but my stoppage had come. “Umm...bye I have to go. My
stoppage has come...see you later or may be again.”
I got down from the bus and
headed towards my home when I heard a voice from back “Arre...Divu...won’t you invite
me to your home?” I turned back to see Ruchi was huffing and smiling
simultaneously. “What did you think that I will not recognize you??? Then let
me clear mss Divya Mukharjee I recognized you from the very beginning but
pretended not to just to know your reaction. But you...just walk away” she
threw her hands in air to show her angriness. “Sorry...It was a surprise for me
and...I...didn’t know...what...to...do...” I fumbled a little and tears were finding
their way out but I completed my sentence I was hugged by her. We both missed
each other and that was our golden memory.

Chapter
3
(Apekshya)
It had been five days and I can’t find my Id-card. Rosni had suggested
me to reissue another one but it’s a long process that takes around a month. We
were sitting in the canteen and having our samosha, when a group of four boys
stormed towards us.
Muskan- “Apy your lizard boy is coming over here and I think he’s kindda
cute.” I can’t believe muskan said it with a smirk in her face.
Me- “shut up musu” I faced down to hide. I sensed they were standing in
front of me. Ohh...no...GOD...Please help me...
Lizard boy- “Look who we are seeing today, Is it you princess???” A
devilish smirk played in his face.
I lifted up my head to expose my face. “Come on princes, introduce youself
first?” he continued and I have a-can’t-understand-anything-look on my face.
“Ohh...you didn’t get it, give your I-N-T-R-O?” Now he looked a little
frustrated.
Me- “I am Apekshya Agarwal, From Delhi. I have completed my schooling
from st. joshep. I am in electronics and communication branch. My hobbies are
um...painting and singing.
I fumbled a little but managed to spill it out.
He gasped at me and remarked “quite a short introduction. I was
expecting more but it’s okay...Now I want to ask you some question. First what
is your height? You seem quite tall.”
I wide opened my mouth but suddenly closed it. Now everyone was looking
at my direction and I hate attention.
Me- “5.5” embarrassment was starting to mount over me.
Lizard Boy- “Hmm...Nice, I don’t like short girls.”
What was he talking about? I was getting confused. I was interrupted
from my thought by his next question.
Lizard Boy- “So what is your weight?”
Rosni- “hey you can’t ask a girl about her weight? You don’t have any
manner or what?”
I was giving him a disgust look when he pulled an id-card from his
pocket. He raised his eyebrows and moved the card in front of me like pendulum.
He did that so gracefully that I was stuck in his eyes for a while.
Lizard Boy- “Is it yours princess?”
I was relieved to see my card. “Yes” I mumbled excitedly and extended my
hand towards his direction. But before I could hold it he pulled back his hand “Ahh...princess
not so easy, first answer my question.”
Me- “huh...94”
Lizard Boy- “that means 49” An amused smile played over his face. “Okay...let’s
stop it here. Here is an assignment, copy it neat n clean in A4 size papers.
Most importantly complete it by the day after tomorrow. Got it?”
Me- “sorry, I can’t complete it. I have my assignment also” I tried to keep
my voice polite.
Lizard Boy- “If you need your Id-card, then you must have to complete
this. I will come the day after tomorrow. Till then complete it and I will
return your card.”
Before I could protest any more He left that place with his gang, who
did nothing except enjoying the show.
Muskan- “That was so dramatic...and quite unique. Look apy how much
attention you got. I wish if I was in your place.”
Pakshy- “Musu will you please shut up??? Now what will you do apy” she
looked at me with concerned look.
Rosni- “Apy, it’s okay...we all will help you” She patted my shoulder
and Anchal nodded with her.
