On the first day I made some more friends; Rosni (very
talkative, smiley face, wears spectacle, never listens to important things and
always forgets something), Pakshy (very sweet, kind hearted girl, responsible
and most importantly loves to study) and I came to know that Muskan is our
drama queen.
We four moved towards the canteen and sat there with
nervousness. After school it was the first day in university, we all didn’t
bring our tiffin except Pakshy. So we ate her tiffin and Rosni asked me to come
with her to buy some chocolates. I stood up and moved two steps when I heard a
sharp voice.
“You! First year, come here. Pull up a chair and sit down.” I turned to
see a gang of seniors had sat circled around a table and all were looking at my
direction. Oh
GOD, no... Without any option I took my chair and sat in front of
them.
“Give us your intro.” One of the senior asked. I started and
covered my name, branch, schooling and hobbies. “What are you doing here? Don’t
you know this is a senior’s area?” another one of them asked. My heart started
to pound rapidly. “Um... Sorry, we came here, but I didn’t find any board
written that ‘this is the senior’s area’. It would be better if they mention it
otherwise how’ll juniors know.” I told them not sure about the consequences.
“Don’t play your tricks. And never talk like that with a
senior. Do you know Manisha?” The second one asked again. How can I know
Manisha? I nodded a no. “Then what are you doing here? Go, your
friend is waiting.” The first one said. I hurried towards Rosni and sensed the
anxious look on her face.
We returned with four
5-stars chocolates and leave that canteen. On our way back, I explained
everything to soothe their curiosity.

Lovely :) Took me back to the first day of college when I was scared of looking at anyone, lest they ragged me! I hadn't visited canteen for a week :D Now, that memory makes me smile :) Good job with the story arpita :)
